Install the WAN emulation
The WAN Emulation function is useful to simulate degraded network conditions in load tests, as documented in WAN Emulation.
A specific WAN Emulation driver controls the traffic generated by the Load Generator and simulates latency and packet loss conditions. The driver must be installed on the network interface card of the machine hosting the Load Generator—Controller installation or Load Generator Agent installation.
Due to technical constraints, the WAN Emulation driver cannot be used when the Load Generator computer and the machine hosting the Web application are the same one. Also, the WAN Emulation function may not work properly on an IPv6 server.
