Displaying the current environment
This description describes how to show the current environment and how to show an environment variable.
To show the current environment, run:
- set (Windows)
- env (UNIX)
- set (z/OS)
- WRKENVVAR (i5/OSâ„¢ command prompt)
- env (i5/OS qsh or qp2term)
To show a particular environment variable, run:
- echo %ENVNAME% (Windows)
- echo $ENVNAME (UNIX, z/OS and I5/OS)
Use values exactly as shown in the documentation. The names of environment variables are case-sensitive in UNIX but not in Windows.
