Manually create a connection - IBM Security Verify

This section describes the procedure used by the wizard to enable string authentication using IBM Security Verify APIs. The procedure involves steps on both IBM Security Verify and Verify Access.

In this process an additional parameter <subscription shortname> is used. <subscription shortname> is derived from <subscription hostname> by taking the first subdomain.

Procedures are performed on IBM Security Verify:

• Create an API Client
• Create an authenticators client

Procedures are performed on IBM Security Verify Access:

• Create an IBM Security Verify server connection
• Create an IBM Security Verify Authentication authentication mechanism/policy.
