Installation errors

Use the installation package to selectively install ISIM Server and the required middleware. We also can use it to install the fix packs, which upgrade the associated product to the required software level.

To install one or more products selectively, we must run the installation program for each product we are installing.

IBM Security Identity Manager documentation provides websites for accessing the libraries of associated products. For more information about any failures with those products, see the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting guides that are associated with them.

• Deployment and configuration errors
  This section describes how to respond to errors that occur during installation.
• Database errors
  We must create a database, such as example, DB2 , before you start the ISIM installation program.
• Directory server errors
  A directory server, for example, IBM Security Directory Server, stores current information used by ISIM to manage identities. IBM Security Directory Server must be installed and operational before the ISIM schema can be set up.
