IBM Security Identity Manager operational logs
Operational log files contain information about processing activities. These activities are associated with the communication between ISIM Server and other applications. The following section describes.
- Message, security, and trace logs. Use these logs to troubleshoot errors that occur during Security Identity Manager operations.
- Log options. We can set logging options for all Security Identity Manager logs. We can also set options for each type of logging activity.
We can configure different options to manage the quantity and size of the log files. See Configure logs.
Log format
The message, security, and trace logs are formatted in XML. Security Identity Manager provides a viewer for viewing the log contents. We can view them as plain text. See Retrieving logs..
