Troubleshooting installation and configuration problems

  1. Firewalls can block ISIM Server installation
  2. User IDs must be in the administrator group to start an installation
  3. Entries in the services file prevent reinstalling the DB2 Universal Database
  4. LDAP port value is already in use for an initial installation of IBM Security Identity Manager
  5. Messaging engines do not start after installation
  6. The temp directory is not deleted after installation (Microsoft Windows only)
  7. Cannot uninstall interim fixes or fix packs
  8. Cannot log on to ISIM Console
