Forgotten password information
When you forget your IBM Security Identity Manager password and must reset it, you must verify your credentials with the system. To do so, you respond to a set of forgotten password questions with answers that you previously specified. The answer that you type must match exactly what you typed when you defined that answer, including the case of the letters. While we are logged on, you must configure the forgotten password questions and their corresponding answers, if this function is available. A system administrator defines how many questions must be answered, and whether the questions are predefined.
- If a system administrator predefines the forgotten password questions, you specify only the answers.
- If the system administrator does not provide the questions, you must specify both the forgotten password questions and the answers.
If the system configuration changes, for instance from undefined questions to predefined questions, you must specify new forgotten password questions and answers.
