Install a directory server

Security Identity Manager stores user account and organizational data, but not scheduling and audit data, in a directory server. The information describes configuring the directory server for use by Security Identity Manager. The supported combinations of directory servers and required fix packs are specified in Hardware and software requirements. This information is not a substitute for the more extensive, prerequisite documentation provided by the directory server product itself. See Hardware and software requirements. Before installing the directory server product:

• Read the installation guide that the directory server product provides.
• Ensure that your installation meets the directory server hardware and software requirements.
