Installed portlets
This section provides information about portlets that are provided by WebSphere Portal. All portlets provided can be found in the <wp_root>/installableApps directory. Use the Install Portlets portlet to install these portlets. In addition, you can use the Install Portlets portlet to install or update local portlets in your portal. Portlets already deployed by the WebSphere Portal installation can be found in the <wp_root>/installedApps directory. See Portal administration for details on installing and managing portlets.
In addition to the portlets listed in this section, WebSphere Portal also provides several portlets used to administer the portal server. These can be found in the Adminstration tab of the portal. Documentation about these portlets can be found in the Adminstering your portal, Portal adminstration portlets section.For more information, see Portal administration. - These portlets are deployed by default by the WebSphere Portal installation and can be found in the <wp_root>/installedApps directory.
Portlet templates
The following portlet applications serve as templates for creating your own portlets without having to write and compile Java code. They are all located in the <wp_root>/installableApps directory.
Application Description Filename File Server Serves up static HTML files. FileServer.war Servlet Invoker Invokes a servlet as a portlet. ServletInvoker.war JSP Portlet Serves JSPs. JspServer.war CSV Viewer Displays a file with data arranged in comma-separated values format. csv.war RSS Portlet Displays remote URLs that provide data using rich site summary format. xslt.war
