The Information Center can be accessed remotely over HTTP. This requires that you run the Information Center configuration task, and have WAS and WebSphere Portal running.

For the latest WebSphere Portal documentation, refer to the latest version of the WebSphere Portal Information Center.

  1. Open an OS/400 command prompt and start the Qshell Interpreter by entering the following:

    STRQSH

  2. Change to the directory...

    /qibm/userdata/webas5/base/<instance>/portalserver5/config

  3. Run the following configuration task to copy the Information Center files to the server:

    WPSconfig.sh deploy-infocenter

  4. Open a Web browser and type the following:

    http://<hostname.yourco.com:port_number>/<WpsContextRoot>/doc/<language>/InfoCenter/index.html

    For example, where wps is the default WpsContextRoot and English is the selected language:

    http://hostname.yourco.com:9081/wps/doc/en/InfoCenter/index.html
