Start Deployment Manager

Perform these steps to start Network Deployment on iSeries:

  1. Start the Network Deployment default instance.

    WAS Network Deployment provides a default instance that is ready to run after you start the WAS Network Deployment environment. For more information on the default instance, including the TCP/IP ports it uses and how to change them, see Default Network Deployment instance in the Administration topic.

    When you start the QEJBASND5 subsystem, the default Network Deployment instance is started. To start the QEJBASND5 subsystem, enter this command on an OS/400 command line:

      STRSBS QEJBAS5/QEJBASND5

  2. Verify that the Network Deployment environment has started. This step describes how to verify that the Network Deployment environment has started.
