Administer cell properties

Use the administrative console to manage the cell discovery port and protocol and to view the topology of your cell.

Note: This feature is available in WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment only.

To view or modify cell discovery port settings, follow these steps:

1. Start the administrative console.
2. In the topology tree, expand System Administration and click Cell.
3. Make your changes.
4. Click OK.
5. Save the configuration.

You can also use the cell's detail page to access configuration settings for other objects in the cell. To view or modify the properties for a node, server, application, or cluster, follow these steps:

1. Start the administrative console.
2. In the topology tree, expand System administration and click Cell.
3. Select the Local Topology tab.
4. Expand the cell topology tree and click the name of the object that you want to view or modify.
