Administer end points
End points provide host and port specifications for a server. Run-time components use end points to communicate with each other. For help with end point settings, see End point settings.
These sections describe how to administer application server end points:
To configure a new end point, follow these steps:
- Start the administrative console.
- In the topology tree, expand Servers and click Application Servers.
- On the Application Servers page, click the name of the application server for which you want to configure an end point.
- Click End Points.
- On the End Points page, click New.
- Select the name of the end point that you want to configure.
- Specify a host name and port number for the end point.
- Click OK.
- Save the configuration.
To modify an end point, follow these steps:
- Start the administrative console.
- In the topology tree, expand Servers and click Application Servers.
- On the Application Servers page, click the name of the application server for which you want to modify an end point.
- Click End Points.
- On the End Points page, click the name of the end point that you want to modify.
- Make your changes.
- Click OK.
- Save the configuration.
To remove an end point, follow these steps:
- Start the administrative console.
- In the topology tree, expand Servers and click Application Servers.
- On the Application Servers page, click the name of the application server for which you want to remove an end point.
- Click End Points.
- On the End Points page, select the checkbox for the end point that you want to remove.
- Click Delete.
- Save the configuration.
