Administer end points

End points provide host and port specifications for a server. Run-time components use end points to communicate with each other. For help with end point settings, see End point settings. Go to Help documentation

These sections describe how to administer application server end points:

Configure end points

To configure a new end point, follow these steps:

  1. Start the administrative console.
  2. In the topology tree, expand Servers and click Application Servers.
  3. On the Application Servers page, click the name of the application server for which you want to configure an end point.
  4. Click End Points.
  5. On the End Points page, click New.
  6. Select the name of the end point that you want to configure.
  7. Specify a host name and port number for the end point.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Save the configuration.

Modify end points

To modify an end point, follow these steps:

  1. Start the administrative console.
  2. In the topology tree, expand Servers and click Application Servers.
  3. On the Application Servers page, click the name of the application server for which you want to modify an end point.
  4. Click End Points.
  5. On the End Points page, click the name of the end point that you want to modify.
  6. Make your changes.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Save the configuration.

Remove end points

To remove an end point, follow these steps:

  1. Start the administrative console.
  2. In the topology tree, expand Servers and click Application Servers.
  3. On the Application Servers page, click the name of the application server for which you want to remove an end point.
  4. Click End Points.
  5. On the End Points page, select the checkbox for the end point that you want to remove.
  6. Click Delete.
  7. Save the configuration.
