Upgrading to i5/OS Version 5 Release 4

 

To complete the software upgrade, perform these tasks.

1. Installing, upgrading, or deleting i5/OS^® and related software.

   Use the information in this topic to install the i5/OS release, part of the i5/OS release, or licensed programs.

2. To verify that all your applications are running properly, use the system with the new software release until you feel comfortable with the new production environment. For example, many customers use the system for 2 weeks or longer.

3. Check job logs and server messages.

   Use this information to help you identify and fix any problems that might occur with the newly installed software.
