Use this information if are moving data from one iSeries™ server that is running i5/OS® V5R1, V5R2, or V5R3 to another iSeries server running V5R4. If you are installing a new version of i5/OS on the same server, it is not necessary to perform an explicit data migration. You can use the Software installation information.
- Preventive service planning (PSP) information
The PSP document for V5R3 upgrades and data migrations is SF98168. Information within this PSP describes corrections that apply to upgrades. Review this information before you upgrade your server.
