Directly attached LAN adapters

 

A logical partition running Linux can own its own LAN adapters.

Once you allocate the supported LAN adapters to the logical partition, i5/OS does not realize the hardware exist and cannot use the I/O resource. See Assign I/O adapters (IOAs) to a logical partition for more information.

You will need to refer to your Linux distributor's documentation for information on network TCP/IP setup.
