• Directory Server command line utilities
  This section describes the Directory Server utilities that can be run from the Qshell command environment.

• LDAP data interchange format (LDIF)
  This information describes the LDAP data interchange format (LDIF), as used by the ldapmodify, ldapsearch and ldapadd utilities.

• Directory Server configuration schema
  This information describes the Directory Information Tree (DIT) and the attributes that are used to configure the ibmslapd.conf file.

• Object identifiers (OIDs)
  This information contains the object identifiers (OIDs) that are used in the Directory Server.

• IBM Tivoli Directory Server equivalence
  The Directory Server is compatible with the IBM^® Tivoli^® Directory Server product available on other platforms. The following table lists the equivalent version of the IBM Tivoli Directory Server product corresponding to particular versions of i5/OS Directory Server. This table may be useful when determining if the i5/OS Directory Server satisfies directory server prerequisites for a particular product.

• Default configuration for Directory Server
  The Directory Server is automatically installed when you install i5/OS. This installation includes a default configuration.
