Using the Verify Communications command
The Verify Communications (VFYCMN) command allows you to verify either remote or local communications equipment. This command shows the display that prompts you to select the system on which you want to verify remote communications.
- Type VFYCMN on any command line.
- Press F4 (Prompt).
Depending on the configuration of the system, you can run tests on the following communications equipment:
- Cable
- Communications input/output adapter
- Communications interface trace
- Link
- Local modem
- Remote modem
- Link Problem Determination Aid-2 (LPDA-2)
