Portal Express, Version 6.0
Operating systems: i5/OS, Linux, Windows
Change the default profile
When running the installation, you can pass parameters from the command line that allow you to make the WebSphere Portal Express profile either default or non-default.
Valid values are True or False and the default value is True. To set the profile, use one of the follow options:
- Set the custom portal server installation profile to be the default using one of the command line arguments:
- Windows:
PortalExpress\install.bat -W detectProfileAction.isDefault="True"
- Linux:
PortalExpress/install.sh -W detectProfileAction.isDefault="True"
This parameter sets the profile that the installation creates as the default IBM® WebSphere® Application Server profile. Look in the app_server_root/properties/profileRegistry.xml file to see a listing of all profiles currently installed.
- Set the custom installation profile to be the non-default using the command line. For example:
- Windows:
PortalExpress\install.bat -W detectProfileAction.isDefault="False"
- Linux:
PortalExpress/install.sh -W detectProfileAction.isDefault="False"
- Use the following three options together to modify the default profile name and profile path used for WebSphere Portal Express:
-W detectProfileAction.isDefault="True" -W detectProfileAction.profileName="your_profile_name" -W detectProfileAction.profilePath="C:\full\path\your_profile_name"
