Set the preview size

Adjust the preview size in Document Manager to improve performance.

Documents that exceed the set preview size will not be displayed in the preview window. To modify the document preview size, follow these steps:

1. From Administration, click Portlet Management > Portlets.

2. From the list of portlets, search for and select Document Manager.

3. Add the property dm.view.document.previewSize.max to the list and set the preview size. The preview size must be a valid number of bytes such as 1024 (1 KB) or 1048576 (1 MB).

   The default preview size for documents is 10485760 bytes, which is 10 MB.

4. Save the change.

5. Log out and then log back in to Document Manager for the setting to take effect.

This change affects only the current instance of the Document Manager portlet. If there are other Document Manager portlets that need to preview large documents, set the dm.view.document.previewSize.max property in each of those Document Manager portlets.
