Searching for a document library

Search for a document library using the Document Libraries portlet.

The document library search feature is useful for quickly locating a specific library when you are managing a large number of document libraries. If you want to search for documents across one or more document libraries, see Searching for documents.

  1. Navigate to the Document Libraries page.

  2. Select one of these search types from the Search By drop-down menu:

    • Name contains: Searches for words in the document library name.

    • Description contains: Searches for words in the document library description.

    • All available: Displays all document libraries that you are authorized to modify.

  3. Enter search parameters in the Search field, and click the Search button. Search parameters are case-sensitive. If a document library has uppercase letters in the library name, you should enter the name with the correct letter case in the Search field. Do not use the wildcard character * (asterisk). Search results include only document libraries that you are authorized to modify.
