Add cluster members
After you have created the cluster, you can add additional cluster members to perform workload management and improve the availability of your applications. You can add horizontal cluster members on different machines or vertical cluster members on the same machine.
- Adding horizontal cluster members
If you have installed WebSphere Portal Express on a secondary node, you can add the node as a horizontal cluster member to distribute a portion of the workload in the cluster to the secondary node. - Adding vertical cluster members
Add vertical cluster members to share the workload demands of your cluster across multiple members running on the same physical machine.
