Federated content element
A federated content element stores a reference to federated content such as IBM Content Manager content. A federated content element is stored in an authoring template, site, site area, content item or federated content component.
A federated content element can:
- Display federated content within a presentation template, component design or element design.
- Display a link to federated content within a presentation template, component design or element design.
- Display attributes of federated content within a presentation template, component design or element design.
Web Content Management can not create or edit federated content. Refer to the documentation of your federated content source for information on creating and editing federated content.
To use the federated content element configure Web Content Management to use your federated content source. See Federated content data source configuration for further information.
- Using a federated content element
When using a federated content element you will need to search a set of federated content and then select the content you would like to reference within the element.
