Deployment manager settings

Use this page to stop the deployment manager from running, and to link to other pages which you can use to define additional properties for the deployment manager. A deployment manager provides a single, central point of administrative control for all elements of the entire WebSphere Application Server distributed cell.

To view this administrative console page, click System Administration > Deployment Manager .

Configuration tab

Name

Specifies a logical name for the deployment manager. The name must be unique within the cell.

Specifies a string identifying the process.

Cell Name

The name of the cell for the deployment manager. The cell name for the dmgr profile created during Network Deployment installation is shortHostNameNetwork. When you create a new deployment manager profile, the cell name defaults to profileNameNetwork if you do not specify the -cellName option.

Default host_nameNetwork

Node Name

The name of the node for the deployment manager. The node name for the dmgr profile created during Network Deployment installation is shortHostNameManager. When you create a new deployment manager profile, the node name defaults to profileNameManager if you do not specify the -nodeName option.

State

Indicates the state of the deployment manager. The state is Started when the deployment manager is running and Stopped when it is not running.
