Enable IBM Marketing Cloud Transact XML integration with WebSphere Commerce

We can enable IBM Marketing Cloud Transact XML integration with WebSphere Commerce by configuring settings on both the IBM Marketing Cloud Transact XML and WebSphere Commerce sides.


Before beginning

To ensure that our own domain is being used as the sender of transaction emails, contact IBM Marketing Cloud Transact XML support to ensure that the DNS delegation for our domain is set up correctly. See Watson Campaign Automation: Custom Domains.


Procedure

    1. Configure IBM Marketing Cloud Transact XML to work with WebSphere Commerce
      Configure IBM Marketing Cloud Transact XML to work with WebSphere Commerce by creating and configuring the WebSphere Commerce application and database in IBM Marketing Cloud Transact XML. Settings that are obtained while you configure IBM Marketing Cloud Transact XML in this task are used in proceeding tasks to configure the Silverpop transport method in WebSphere Commerce.

    2. Configure the IBM Marketing Cloud Transact XML transport method
      Configure the IBM Marketing Cloud Transact XML transport in the WebSphere Commerce Administration Console so that transactional messages can be sent by IBM Marketing Cloud Transact XML.

    3. Enable SSL for IBM Marketing Cloud Transact XML integration
      We can enable SSL for the web services used by WebSphere Commerce for IBM Marketing Cloud Transact XML so that the IBM Marketing Cloud Transact XML server is trusted.
