EJB errors after updating to WebSphere Commerce Developer Version 9.0.0.1 or 9.0.0.2

After you install the WebSphere Commerce Developer Version 9.0.0.1 or 9.0.0.2 Update Package, the store does not work and you notice EJB errors in the log.


Problem

The Version 9.0.0.1 and 9.0.0.2 Update Packages assume that WebSphere Commerce Developer Version 9.0.0.0 is already installed and that you already ran the setdbtype utility to point to the WebSphere Commerce database.

If you installed WebSphere Commerce Developer Version 9.0.0.0 and Version 9.0.0.1 or 9.0.0.2 together before you ran the setdbtype utility to point to the database, then your workspace is missing full JAR files. The updatedb process only copies the delta version of the JAR files instead of the full JAR files.


Solution

  1. Copy all JAR files from WCDE_installdir/wc.modules/ejbs/db2.

  2. Paste the JAR files to WCDE_installdir/workspace/WC.

  3. Restart all servers.
