Creating and configuring an Extended Sites store
We can create an Extended Site, and then use the Management Center to configure store information and flows to have the store serve as an extension of our asset store. We can then upload catalog data and catalog filters for the Extended Sites store.
Before beginning
Ensure that the environment contains an existing Catalog Asset Store and Storefront Asset Store. That is, either by migrating the store from a previous version of WebSphere Commerce, or by Creating and configuring our custom store and
Populating the store's bootstrap data into the database. After doing so, we can use the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator to maintain online stores. For more information, see WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.
- Changing store profile information
We can change store information using the Store Management tool in the Management Center.- Selecting store functions
Use the Store Management tool to specify the functions that are available or unavailable in the store, such as which optional fields to display on the Registration and Change Personal Information pages.- Uploading catalog data
Use the Catalog Upload feature to upload catalog data in your CSV file or compressed file (.zip) into the database.- Catalog filtering
Set up catalog filters to entitle our customers to a subset of the catalog. Catalog filters can also be used as one of the price rule conditions when we are determining prices for the set of catalog entries our customers are entitled to.
