Changing the price of a SKU
Ensure that you use the same price for the SKUs as you did for its product, otherwise different SKUs from the same product family may have different pricing.
Procedure
- Find the product containing the SKU to change .
- Select a field in the product row, and from the Actions menu, click Show SKUs.
- Select a field in the SKU row that to change, and from the Prices menu, click Set Prices.
- The SKU Pricing page displays. Using the list, select the currency from a list of the store's available currencies.
- In the List Price field, change the SKU list price, if applicable. The list price may be supplied by the manufacturer and may be set to any value. The list price is used as part of the SKU description and is not used as the actual price of the SKU. This field is for catalog display purposes only.
- Select the check box to the left of the price to change and click Modify Price Range.
- Change the pricing specifications,...
- Use the list, select the currency from a list of the store's available currencies.
- Change the SKU price range in the Range field. You can also change the price corresponding to the price range.
- To save the changed SKU price, click OK. Click Cancel Add to return to the SKU Pricing page.
Results
If the changes to the catalog data do not display in the store, the Site Administrator may need to remove the currently cached JSP pages.
If a customer is viewing their shopping cart at the time you update the price of a catalog entry that is in their shopping cart, they will continue to see the old price. If they refresh their shopping cart, they will see the updated price for the affected catalog entries, but the total order price may not reflect the new price until the customer either updates their shopping cart, or proceeds to submit their order.
