Changing tax specifications for a kit
You select taxes that apply to a kit from a list of taxes that are defined in the store. These tax specifications are used when calculating taxes on an order that include this kit.
You cannot set tax for a bundle. When bundle is added to the shopping cart, each item is added as a order item. The tax codes applied to each item are used.
Procedure
- Find the kit to change.
- Select the prebuilt kit, or dynamic kit and click Change. The Change Bundle and Kit notebook opens.
- To change sales tax for a prebuilt kit, or dynamic kit, such as "Electronics Sales Tax", from the left navigation frame, click Sales Tax. The Sales Tax page displays. Do the following:
- To assign a sales tax to the prebuilt kit, or dynamic kit, select the tax name from the Available taxes list, and click Add.
- To remove a sales tax assigned to the prebuilt kit, or dynamic kit, select the tax name from the Selected taxes list, and click Remove.
- If there are no available sales taxes, you can create sales tax from the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.
- To change shipping tax for a prebuilt kit, or dynamic kit, such as "Overnight Shipping Tax", from the left navigation frame, click Shipping Tax. The Shipping Tax page displays. Do the following:
- To assign a shipping tax to the prebuilt kit or dynamic kit, select the tax name from the Available taxes list, and click Add.
- To remove a shipping tax assigned to the prebuilt kit or dynamic kit, select the tax name from the Selected taxes list, and click Remove.
- If there are no available shipping taxes, you can create shipping tax from the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.
- To save the changed tax specifications and close the notebook, click OK.
What to do next
If the changes to the catalog data do not display in the store, the Site Administrator might need to disable caching or remove the currently cached JSP pages.
