Find a category
Procedure
- Open the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.
- Open the Find Categories page:
- Click Merchandise > Find Category
- Click Products > Find Category
- Provide any of the following category information (Verify the search criteria does not contain the following characters: %, \, ", _, and #):
- In the Name field, type the category name and select the search method from the list beside this field,...
- If you know the category's name, select Exact phrase to search for a category that is an exact match with the category name provided. The system performs an exact search. If you type more than one word, such as science fiction, then the system only returns search results that match the combination and order of the given text.
- If you only know part of the category's name, select Matches containing to search for categories that have names which contain the search criteria. The system performs a fuzzy search. If you type more than one word, such as science fiction, then the system returns all matches for "science" or "fiction". Only one word is needed for a search result.
- In the Description field, type the description to which the category is associated and select the search method from the list beside this field,...
- If you know the category's description, select Exact phrase to search for a category that is an exact match with the category description provided. The system performs an exact search. If you type more than one word, such as science fiction, then the system only returns search results that match the combination and order of the given text.
- If you only know part of the category's description, select Matches containing to search for categories that have descriptions which contain the search criteria. The system performs a fuzzy search. If you type more than one word, such as science fiction, then the system returns all matches for "science" or "fiction". Only one word is needed for a search result.
- Click Find. A list of categories that match the search criteria displays.
