Import a store
Import a store uploads a reseller service agreement in XML format from the local client to the WebSphere Commerce Server and deploys the service agreement for the reseller. Deployment of the service agreement creates a store for the reseller. Note that if you import a contract by using XML, and want to have that contract appear in the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator, then have a contract description.
Before you begin
If the reseller service agreement XML file contains data within the PaymentsInformation element, ensure that WebSphere Commerce Payments is running. If WebSphere Commerce Payments is not running before importing a reseller service agreement that includes Payment data, creation of the hosted store will fail. Optionally, you can remove the data within the PaymentsInformation element in the XML file.
Procedure
- Open the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.
- From either the Channel, Extended sites, or Supplier menu, click Import Stores. The Import Stores dialog displays. If you do not see this menu, then the logon ID does not have the appropriate authority to perform this task. Contact the Site Administrator.
- In the XML File field, enter the full path to the reseller service agreement XML file for the store. If you do not know the full path to the reseller service agreement XML file, click Browse to open a dialog that allows you to find the XML file.
- Click Import to import the reseller service agreement XML file to the local client machine.
Results
When the XML file uploads successfully, a reseller store will be created that respects the terms and conditions defined in the reseller service agreement. In addition, a confirmation message will be displayed once the setup process is complete and the list of hosted resellers will be refreshed showing the newly created reseller. If the status of the store is Deployment Failed when the list of stores is refreshed, you can attempt to redeploy the reseller service agreement.
