Find a quote
When you are searching for a quote, you can use either the quick-find or advanced-find search method.
Quick find Use this method to search for a quote using common parameters such as the customer's last name, the customer's first name, and so on.
To search for a quote using the quick-find method:
Procedure
- Log on to the IBM Sales Center.
- Optional: Select a store.
- Optional: Find a customer.
- Execute one of the following actions:
- Right-click the store or customer in the Stores view, and then click Find > Quote .
- Click Quote > Find.
- Enter the accelerator sequence Ctrl+F, Ctrl+Q.
- Select a search option from the Search by list.
- Enter information in all fields, and then click Find.
Tip: Use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard in a field to broaden the search. Search information can be entered in the following formats:
- *
- XXX *
- * XXX *
Where XXX is a partial string to search on. If search information is entered in any other format, the Find button will be disabled.
Note that searches that begin with a wildcard are significantly slower than searches that contain a wildcard in another position. For example, in the preceding example search 1 is slower than search 2 or 3.
- Scroll through the Search result table to find the quote for which you are searching.
Tip: Click a column heading in the Search result table to sort the current page of results (there may be more than one page) based on that heading.
- Execute one of the following actions:
- Double-click the quote.
- Select the quote, and then click OK.
