Create an e-mail template

We will now create an e-mail template using the content that we created in the previous section.

1. Log in to WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.

2. Select the ConsumerDirect store and click OK.

3. Select Marketing > Campaign Activities.

4. In the "Filter by activity type" list, select E-mail activities.

5. Click Manage E-mail Templates.

6. The E-mail Templates page is displayed.

7. Click New to create a new e-mail template.

8. Type the following values:

   Name:

   January 2006 Marketing template

   Description:

   January 2006 Marketing template

   Record number of e-mails opened:

   Select this box

   E-mail subject:

   It's our RedHot Winter Clearance - 25% off

9. Add the Content Spot called E-Mail Activity Header to the e-mail template text area.

10. Add the e-Marketing Spot called E-mail 25 Percent Off Tableware Coupon to the e-mail template text area.

11. The text area should now look like the following image (with some additional text added):
