Customize the Management Center shell
You can customize the Management Center shell, which encompasses all of the common (non-tool-specific) aspects of the Management Center. The shell includes the Management Center menu, banner, tool tabs, and status area.
- Changing default values for settings in the Preferences dialog
The Preferences dialog contains default values for each setting (for example, detailed Tool Tips are enabled by default). You can change these default settings to meet the needs of business users.
- Rearrange the layout of the Management Center banner
The Management Center banner contains the Management Center menu, welcome text, logout link, and branding logo. You can change the order of these elements within the banner.
- Customize the branding logo
Customize the logo image and location of the image in the Management Center banner. For example, you can change the image to reflect the own company logo. You can also define how you want the Management Center to display the logo within the banner.

The Management Center contains the Management Center banner, main area, and status area. You can change the order of these elements within the main page.

The Management Center contains the Management Center messages, link to the message console, and the progress indicator. You can change the order of these elements within the status area.
- Customize the Management Center menu
The Management Center menu is where business users can open each business user tool, as well as access the Management Center Preferences dialog, getting started information, and WebSphere Commerce Accelerator. You can include more information in this menu, or rearrange the layout of the menu.
- Changing access control for a Management Center tool
By default, certain business roles are authorized to use the Management Center. You can assign other roles to the Management Center tools.
