User ID Organization Roles logan Root Organization Category/Product Manager amelia Root Organization Marketing Manager While you do not have to use the user IDs specified in this table, there are references to these user IDs throughout the tutorial.
This tutorial will use three of the starter stores that are published as part of the Extended Sites model:
- A catalog asset store, named Extended Sites Catalog Asset Store

- An extended sites store, named Sample B2B Store. This extended site uses the Extended Sites Catalog Asset Store as its catalog asset store and the B2B Storefront Asset Store as its storefront asset store.
Lessons in this tutorial
- Create a new product in an extended sites store
In this step, you play the role of Logan, a Category/Product manager, responsible for updating the asset store master catalog and adding new products to the catalog in extended sites stores. You will add a new Entertainment\on board computing audio system to the catalog in the extended sites store to reflect marketing goals.
- Change an asset store product from within an extended sites store
In this step, we will continue to assume the role of Logan, a Category/Product Manager, to change the offer price of an asset store product and create a merchandising association from within the extended sites Sample B2B store.
- Change an existing promotion in an extended sites store
In this step, we will assume the role of Amelia, a Marketing Manager, responsible for updating promotions in the asset store and extended sites store to make them more competitive. You will change the 5% off all orders over $100 promotion in the extended sites Sample B2B store to 10% off all orders over $100 to increase the discount for repeat customers.
- Change an asset store promotion from within an extended sites store
In this step, we will continue to assume the role of Amelia, a Marketing Manager. This step assumes that you have completed the previous step successfully and are still logged into the extended sites Sample B2B Store in the Management Center as Amelia. While still logged in to the Sample B2B Store as Amelia, you have the authority to edit asset store objects (such as promotions) from within the extended sites store.
- Preview the changes in the store
You have now completed the changes that had been assigned to Amelia. You can view the changes you have made to the extended sites Sample B2B store by using the Store preview.
