Migrate WebSphere Commerce Developer

This section discusses important information you should review before you migrate the current WebSphere Commerce Developer v5.6.1 or 6.0 to WebSphere Commerce Developer v7.0. Migrating WebSphere Commerce Developer includes completing the following steps in this order.


Before you begin

Ensure you have reviewed and understood the information in Plan to migrate WebSphere Commerce.

    This section discusses important information you should review before you migrate the current WebSphere Commerce Developer v5.6.1 or 6.0 to WebSphere Commerce Developer v7.0

  2. WebSphere Commerce Developer Migrate the WebSphere Commerce Developer database
    Migrating the development environment database is the first stage of the migration process. You can migrate the WebSphere Commerce Developer v5.6.1 or 6.0 database to the WebSphere Commerce Developer v7.0 level using either the Migration wizard or the command line.

  3. WebSphere Commerce Developer Migrate custom assets
    The second phase of the migration process is the migration of custom assets.

  4. WebSphere Commerce Developer Verify the migrated WebSphere Commerce Developer application
    After migrating the enterprise bean files into WebSphere Commerce Developer v7.0, the final step in migrating the environment is to verify the migrated application.

    To test the migrated application, launch a test JSP page in the migrated store as in the previous WebSphere Commerce Developer v5.6.1 or 6.0 development environment.
