Copy the encrypted passwords for the WebSphere Commerce tools

To log on to the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator, Administration Console, or Organization Administration Console after migrating to WebSphere Commerce Developer v7.0, modify a configuration file to include the old encrypted passwords.

Procedure

1. Open the following WebSphere Commerce Developer Version 5.6.1 or 6.0 file in a text editor:

   • WCDE_installdir\xml\config\wc-server.xml

   • WCDE_installdir\config\xml\config.xml

2. Locate the previous encrypted passwords:

   MerchantKey="rZ15ws0ely9yHk3zCs3sTMv/ho8fY17s" 
   ...
   SiteAdminID="wcsadmin"
   SiteAdminPassword="m2zFWZGIt2KzuRcT6YvptQ==" 
   

3. Copy the MerchantKey, SiteAdminID, and SiteAdminPassword to the corresponding lines WebSphere Commerce Developer v7.0 file:

   workspace_dir\wc\xml\config\wc-server.xml

4. Save the file and sign into the WebSphere Commerce Developer v7.0 administration pages using the Site Administrator ID and password.
