Back up the WebSphere Commerce development environment assets
Before you upgrade any software or transition any custom code, ensure you back up the WebSphere Commerce development environment.
Your original development environment is preserved during migration.
Procedure
- Back up the customized code, including published stores, into a source control repository.
For example, Rational Application Developer comes with support for CVS and Rational ClearCase.
- Back up the current WebSphere Commerce development environment database.
