Uninstall the Update Installer silently
You can uninstall the Update Installer using the silent method which uses a command line; no graphical interface is required. The WebSphere Commerce Update Installer undergoes regular maintenance and offers updated versions. Before installing an updated version, uninstall the WebSphere Commerce Update Installer.
Before you begin
Ensure that you have the appropriate privileges:
- Log on as the root user.
- Log on to a user that has Windows Administrative user rights.
Procedure
- Start a command line session.
- Start a QShell session.
The silent uninstall is the only supported option for uninstalling the Update Installer on i5/OS machines.
- Navigate to the UPDI_installdir/uninstall directory.
- Launch the uninstall by issuing the one of the following commands
- ./uninstall -silent
- uninstall -silent
- uninstall.bat -silent
- Refer to the following log file to ensure that the uninstall was successful: UPDI_installdir/logs/uninstall/log.txt
- Remove the UPDI_installdir from the machine.
