Troubleshoot: Errors when enabling IBM Gift Center

When enabling IBM Gift Center on Windows 2000, you encounter an "The input line is too long" error message.

Complete the following steps:

1. Open a command prompt session.

2. Create a pointer to the WAS_HOME . For example, type the following command: subst z: d:\ RAD_installdir\runtimes\base_v6

3. Navigate to the WAS_HOME /wasprofile/bin directory and back up the setupCmdLine.bat file.

4. Open the setupCmdLine.bat file in a text editor.

5. Search the file for the WAS_HOME entry and update the path to the new pointer that you have created. For example, " z:\".

6. Search the file for the JAVA_HOME entry and update the path to the new pointer that you have created. For example, " z:\java".

7. Save the changes and exit.

8. Restore you configuration and enable IBM Gift Center.
