Create tax assets
You can use the tax tools in the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator to create and edit certain tax assets (for example, tax categories and jurisdictions), but not all tax assets.
The following list details the database tables that the tax tools can edit:
- CALCODE
- CALCODEDSC
- CALRULE
- TAXJCRULE
- CRULESCALE
- CALSCALE
- CALSCALEDS
- CALRANGE
- CALRLOOKUP
- TAXCGRY
- TAXCGRYDS
- JURST
- JURSTGROUP
- JURSTGPREL
- CATENCALCD
- CATGPCALCD
You can also create the tax assets in the format of XML files that can be loaded into the database using the loading utilities. As a result, you have the following two options for creating shipping assets:
- Create new or edit the existing tax assets from one of the starter stores provided with WebSphere Commerce.
- Create new tax assets in the form of an XML file.
