Order Summary

The Order Summary page enables the customer to review the order details before submitting it to the external system or converting it to a quote.

For information on the Order Summary page of the base Elite starter store, refer to Checkout summary: Single shipping and billing address and Checkout summary: Multiple shipping and billing addresses.

The information displayed on the Order Summary page is a re-display of the information from the previous store pages. In the previous store pages, outbound calls are made to retrieve the inventory availability and offer price information from the external system, if these values are not available in the WebSphere Commerce cache. The WebSphere Commerce database is updated with these values. In the Order Summary page, the same data is fetched from the local WebSphere Commerce database and displayed without making any external calls.
