Enable Coremetrics e-mail analytics for WCS
Overview
Before using WCS Feature Pack 2 Coremetrics e-mail analytics...
- Install WCS Feature Pack 1 and enable the Coremetrics enhanced Web analytics feature.
- Install latest Coremetrics fix
- Install WCS Feature Pack 2.
- Start WCS server(s)...
- If WCS is not managed by dmgr, start the WAS server1.
- If WCS is managed by mgr, start the deployment manager and all node agents.
Enable Coremetrics e-mail analytics
- Log in as the non-root user ID and run...
cd $WC_INSTALL/bin ./config_ant.sh -buildfile $WC_INSTALL/components/common/xml/enableFeature.xml -DinstanceName=instance -DfeatureName=cm-email -DdbUserPassword=db_password
When the Coremetrics enhanced e-mail analytics feature has been successfully enabled, a message such as, "Build Successful" is displayed on the command prompt. If the build has not been successful a message such as this one displays:
BUILD FAILED file:/opt/WCS60/components/common/xml/serverEnablementTasks.x ml:119: Java returned: 105
For remote Web servers, propagate the plugin-cfg.xml to the remote machine.
For IHS Web servers, if you have updated the web server definition in the WAS Administrative Console with IHS userid and password information, the plugin-cfg.xml is propagated automatically through the WAS Administrative Console.
For all other Web servers, propagate the plug-in configuration file by manually copying the plugin-cfg.xml file from...
WC_PROFILE/config/cells/cell_name/nodes/node_name/servers/web_server_name...to the Remote Configuration Directory specified during the instance creation process.
