Roles
In WebSphere Commerce, a user can be either an administrator, or a customer. WebSphere Commerce supports a RegisterType attribute for a user, which takes on one of three valid values:
A administrator R registered G guest ...and indicates the type of role that the user plays with WebSphere Commerce. Note that the attribute itself does not give the user any authority within WebSphere Commerce. If the user is an administrator, the user has a registration type of A to denote an Administrator role within WebSphere Commerce.
For example, an "approvals administrator" may be specifically in charge of processing approvals.
For the customer registration type, WebSphere Commerce provides these roles:
Each of these roles belongs to one or more business models and can perform tasks in one or more profile stores within each model.
- registered customer
- 'R' is a customer who has registered and provided WebSphere Commerce with some profile data.
