Canceling a task group
Task groups in any state can be canceled. When you cancel a task group:
- The task group and the tasks within it become read only.
- The canceled task groups and tasks will display in the Workspace Administration Tool only if you choose to display all workspaces, task groups, and tasks.
- The file and data changes made in the task group are canceled.
If you have a task group in the inactive state that you want to completely remove from the system, you can remove the task group instead of canceling the task group. For instructions on removing a task group, refer to Remove a task group.
If you cancel a task group while a Workspace Content Contributor is working on one of its tasks, the Workspace Content Contributor can continue making changes. To prevent this, ensure that no one is accessing a task in the task group you want to cancel.
To cancel a task group:
- Open the Workspace Administration Tool.
- Select Workspaces > Manage workspaces.
- On the Workspaces page, select the task group that you want to cancel.
- Click Cancel.
- To display canceled workspaces, select Current, completed, & canceled.
