Run replication and ETL

To run replication and extraction:

1. Ensure that the Capture program, ASNCAP, is running on the WebSphere Commerce Server. For more information refer to the WebSphere Commerce Analyzer chapter the WebSphere Commerce Additional Software Guide.

   A Capture program is not required.

2. On the WebSphere Commerce Analyzer server, from the Start menu, select Programs > IBM WCA> Run WebSphere Commerce Analyzer. The WebSphere Commerce Analyzer Runtime window opens.
3. Select Start WCA. All of the necessary steps will run in sequence without any intervention. Leave the window open. You can view the progress of the process in this window. When replication and ETL is complete, a message in the window will say Complete. The first time you run replication and ETL, replication will run twice, in order to fully populate the data mart.
   For example, for the WebSphere Commerce database of size 30GB, the time required to complete the initial replication is approximately 23 hours, and to complete the initial ETL process is approximately 350 hours. However, the time decreases for subsequent delta runs.
