Troubleshoot: error message in application tier migration log
Problem
While migrating your WebSphere Commerce Payments instance, you receive the following error message in the application tier migration log:
[2004.02.17 11:49:06] Error: Can't create new Payments instance
[2004.02.17 11:49:06] Error: PM_DB_CONN_URL_ERROR
Solution
The WebSphere Commerce Payments application tier migration requires a connection to the Payments database. Ensure that the following steps are complete
- The Payments database server has been started.
(Linux)
(Windows) The Payments database user and password are the same as the user and password for the previous Payments database.- If you are performing a switchover or coexistence mode migration, back up the previous Payments database and then restore it to your WebSphere Commerce, v6 database server.
