Activating error notification

Once you have set the system default settings for the e-mail transport method, activate notification by doing the following:

  1. Open the Configuration Manager.
  2. Expand WebSphere Commerce > node name> Commerce > Instance List> instance-> Log System.
    The Log System page displays.
  3. Check the Notification Enabled check box.
  4. Following the directions in the topic Assign the error condition message type to the e-mail transport, assign the "Description of an error condition occurring in WebSphere Commerce" message type to the e-mail transport.
  5. Restart the WebSphere Commerce Server.
