Objective
To allow a registered customer to reset a forgotten password.
Description
If the customer forgets their password, they can request the store to send a temporary password to their registered e-mail address. The customer can use the temporary password to log on to the store. The customer must then set the password to a password of their choice.

Customization
How the password email is sent out can be configured through the Administration Console. The text used in the password email can be customized through the Change Page function in the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.

Tasks
Task Description Role Change password The customer is prompted to change the password. The changed password is saved as the permanent password.
Registered Customer Check e-mail The customer checks the e-mail in the inbox.
Registered Customer Enter personal identification The customer specifies a registered e-mail address, to which the e-mail that has a temporary password is sent.
Registered Customer Log on A registered user logs on to the store by providing the ID and the corresponding password.
