Process: Monitor store behaviour
Flow
![]()
Objective
To check a Seller's compliance to not sell prohibited products.
Description
A Channel Manager can monitor a Seller to see if they are selling prohibited products. Prohibited products can be specified in the terms and conditions when setting up the Seller's store. The Channel Manager can look for offensive products and text on the Seller's store pages. The Channel Manager can receive information that a particular store is violating their agreement, perform random check on particular stores, or search the store directory.
For a particular store, the Channel Manager can check for compliance by viewing store reports, search for the Seller's products, or view the products and e-Marketing Spots on the Seller's store. If the Seller is in violation of the terms within their agreement, then the Seller's store can be suspended (that is, temporarily closed or unavailable to customers). The Seller is then notified of the violation, and can fix the problem. If the Seller has fixed the problem, the Channel Manager can resume operation of the store, and the Seller can open the store to make it available to customers. If the Seller has not fixed the problem, or this problem has happened many times and the Seller is not allowed to have this store, the Seller's organization can be locked, and the store can be deleted. This prevents the Seller from accessing the hub (channel, hosting or supplier hub), and customers from accessing the hosted store.
